I have always loved the written word. Adventure stories from Jules Vern and Edgar Rice Burroughs occupied my youth. Bible study, political writings, and science fiction & fantasy stories guided me throughout my young adulthood. Later I acquired an affinity for philosophy and English studies. 

Now I view all writing as artwork.

I graduated summa cum laude from North Carolina Wesleyan College in 2006 with an undergraduate degree in Political Science, and in 2018, I achieved my Master of Arts in English Studies from Western Illinois University.

I enlisted in the US Air Force in 1986 and honorably retired in 2007. Additionally, I served as a Department of the Army Civilian from 2007 to 2013. My career included tours in Germany, Nevada, England, and North Carolina. My deployments have taken me to Italy, Kuwait, Qatar, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Korea. I value this wealth of travel and experience to understand a world of diverse voices and lives. I strive to continue my education through various means.

I will leverage this life of learning and experience to succeed at every project I accept. I will always respect your voice while seeking to add content, provide editing, or implement design to meet the success you desire. Success is born from communication.
